2-12-2014 - After the 89034712390487 comment from Kiel about how out of control Jase's mullet was, I sucked it up and made an appointment for his first haircut. I have no idea why I was so hesitant to do this, but I just kept thinking "he's not ready, I'm not ready!" Thanks to the fabulous Martha Greil, we all left happy campers!
He kept stealing Martha's combs and squirt bottle, but no tears so I call it a success!!

2-14-2014 - Jase's first Valentines Day at daycare :)

Call me a bad mom, but I didn't get Jase much for Valentines Day. He can't eat candy (but he got enough at daycare to last him a year!) so a card and small semi-devilish looking Mickey Mouse it is! I put them right where I knew he'd find them in the morning...
Pinterest is going to be the death of me...thank goodness for a cooperative kid & a patient Grandma :)
Everyone always complains about Valentines Day being a "Hallmark Holiday"...so what! I'm not ashamed to admit, I love getting flowers at work from Kiel and now Jase. And I love that Kiel knows that and always asks for Lilies <3

2-15-2014 - Kid loves that cozy coupe...it's like his own personal drive-in.

Thanks to "Uncle Evan", Jase has the beginnings of an inappropriate shirt collection. I laughed.
2-16-2014 - During the week, I heat up a bag of BM while I get ready for work so it's ready for Jase when he gets up. On the weekends, I usually don't get up til he does so occassionally he has to wait a few minutes for a cup. He doesn't love to wait, but this weekend he really let his true colors shine...
No he is not hurt or sick or scared...I had the nerve to set him on the floor while pouring the milk into the cup instead of immediately handing it to him.
As you can tell, I didn't have much sympathy for him and he did NOT appreciate me taking the time to retrieve my camera and snap a few pictures before giving him what he wanted. I'm still chuckling a little. #sorrynotsorry

2-18-2014 - I have been meaning to get out and get some more pictures of all the snow, but I procrastinated and now it's starting to melt. Jase doesn't care...he just loves to be outside.

Our new favorite activity: brushing teeth! I bought Jase a toothbrush MONTHS ago when he was having a really hard
time with teething thinking it would feel good on his gums. It got
thrown in the hallway closet and forgotten about. Big mistake. It's now a part of our bedtime routine.
I would stop brushing and he would do the sign for more lol
2-20-2014 - More than likely, brushing teeth will not remain high on Jase's list of favorite things. For now, it's the bee knees :)

2-22-2014 - Posting pictures of my food is not something I do very often, but when Kiel made Jase a mini stack of pancakes I had to take a picture to share :)
Jamison & Hayden turn 8 next week, but will be at Disney World (lucky!) so we ventured to Bloomington to deliver presents and get some dinner. Jase loves playing with the girls!
Had to make sure the ladies were properly embarrassed at Logans (video) They loved it :)
2-23-2014 - This winter weather is killing my spirit so Jase & I pretended it was summer and went swimming at the Elks. He was a little cautious at first, but it didn't take him long to splash and kick. I hope he's a little fish!
Funny how you can live 10 minutes from good friends are rarely see each other. Finally made it over to see Ms. Bailey. Her smile is the BEST...very hard to get on camera though!
2-25-2014 - Today was our 3rd round of ultra sounds to check dilation in Jase's kidneys and just like last time, he received a good report. He was a hit with the receptionist, the children and parents in the waiting room, the ultra sound tech, the nurse at the doctors office and with Dr. Rhee himself. Kid is a social butterfly!

The dilation is still gone (expected, since it was last time too) so we went ahead and scheduled his 2nd VCUG for Friday, May 30th. Shoot me. It's hard to hold him down to change his diaper at 12 mo...what's a catheter going to be like at 15 months? We knew a 2nd one would be necessary one year after his first to confirm the reflux is actually gone (can't tell from an ultra sound), it just came so fast! Here's to not worrying about that torture until the day comes. HA! And many many fingers crossed it will be our last trip to Peoria for this issue!

I mentioned in a previous post that Jase did not feel well this day so
no matter how hard we tried, getting a smile out of him was like pulling
teeth. Thank goodness for Suzy's dog, Taco, playing in the back yard
while we were outside!!!
