43 Weeks - 10 months/Torman Thanksgiving

11-29-2013 - Aunt Amy and I got our Black Friday shopping out of the way Thursday night (way busier than actual BF) so we had a pretty lazy Friday at home.

11-30-2013 - Thanksgiving with the Torman's in Pontiac & celebrating Grandma Farm's birthday - which I forgot this year.  Worst granddaughter ever award...still feel horrible.

Pickles got a LOT of attention this evening...

12-1-2013 -10 months old.  Guess it's time to start thinking about his 1st b-day.  Christmas first, I think.
No height & weight updates as we've had no trips to the dr for well checks or other...knock on wood.  12 month clothes have been put away so we're now in 18 mo and up.  Still in size 3 diapers and we've had to start putting a nighttime diaper on because 4 out of 7 days, monster man wakes up soaked if I don't catch him before his morning pee :-/  Why don't they make nighttime diapers in smaller packs?

Seems like we're entering a bit of a dramatic stage.  Kid is kind of bossy!  If he's is ready for a nap or a bottle or food or a bath and you're not making it happen when he thinks you should he produces these big crocodile tears out of what seems like no where.  He can go from happy, hilarious Jase to "you're ruining my life" in a split second.  Luckily the melt downs are very fleeting and more funny than heartbreaking so we get a fairly big kick out of our little drama king.

Food is still pretty much the same.  He's like a vacuum.  Anything you put in front of him he will eat.  Kyra has fed him with a big kids a couple times and he really thinks he's a big deal when she does that.  I think the only new thing we've introduced since last time is zucchini.  2 thumbs up.  Lately it's seeming like he's favoring his left hand while eating.  I've been told that doesn't really set in until age 2 or older, but still neat to think he might be a lefty like daddy.

Still waiting for a 3rd tooth to make it's appearance as Jase has been sucking on his upper lip a lot along with drooling, chewing, and biting on everything more than normal lately.  He's got quite the bite.  It must feel really good because he's constantly burying his face in his burp wrap or my leg unfortunately and sinking his 2 teeth into the fabric for a few seconds.

It's really starting to become apparent that he understands some simple commands.  He knows what "no" means along with just how to test it's limits, all done, more, come here, arms up (taking clothes off at bathtime) and we're working on "where's Jase's nose."  He's really into setting toys or pacifiers on the bottom of our coffee table, pushing them through the slats, retrieving them and repeating...over and over.  He also started offering his toys or food, giving them to you, and then waiting for you to give them back.  It's really cute :)

12-4-2013 - Improvements in the crawling department (video)

12-5-2013 - As soon as he hears the camera click on, he turns on the crazy smiles.  90% of the time, I don't even have to do anything anymore.

Oh remember the dramatic meltdowns I mentioned earlier?  This is what happened when it was past bathtime...
Nothing says I love you more than a mom who continues to take pictures of her child as he cries.
